How fast your number can send. Distinct from the messaging limit, which caps how many people you can reach.
Two different ceilings are easy to confuse. The messaging limit caps unique customers per 24 hours. Throughput caps messages per second, and determines how long a large broadcast takes to go out rather than whether it can.
Coexistence fixes throughput at 20 messages per second. On a fully migrated number the ceiling is far higher, which matters if you send time-sensitive campaigns to large lists.
