Education

WhatsApp for education: from "what are the fees?" to enrolled.

Every intake brings the same questions in the same order — course, eligibility, fees, dates, documents, hostel, placement — and every one of them is asked by hundreds of people at once. Watx answers them from your own prospectus, remembers where each applicant got to, and nudges them through the steps they have not finished.

A student asks Watx about B.Sc Computer Science eligibility on WhatsApp while her application moves from received to counsellor assigned, follow-up scheduled and enrolled

What this usually looks like today.

  • Counsellors spend admission season answering questions the prospectus already answers.
  • Applicants drop out between "interested" and "documents submitted" and nobody notices.
  • Deadline reminders go to everyone because nobody can segment by stage.
  • Parents and students ask the same thing on different numbers.

How it runs.

  1. 1

    Applicant asks about a course

The AI agent answers from the prospectus, in their language.

  2. 2

    Interest becomes a record

Course, intake and stage are captured as fields on the contact.

  3. 3

    Stalled applicants get nudged

Only the ones stuck at a step hear about that step.

  4. 4

Deadlines go to the right cohort

Dynamic segments target by intake and stage, not by whole list.

All of it on the official Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API — and you can keep the WhatsApp Business app on your number while you try it.

Education, answered.

Can the AI agent answer in more than one language?

Yes. The agent replies in the language the applicant writes in, working from the same uploaded material, which matters when a prospectus is in English and half the enquiries are not.

Can we message students who enquired last year?

Only with a valid opt-in and an approved template — an old enquiry is not standing consent for a new campaign. Watx enforces opt-outs and template approval so a re-engagement send does not put the number’s quality rating at risk.

Does it handle parents and students separately?

They are separate contacts with separate numbers, and you can tag the relationship and the applicant they belong to with custom fields, so a broadcast to parents about fees does not also go to the students.
