Cloud API

The Cloud API is hosted by Meta: nothing for you to run, faster onboarding, and it is where new features ship first. It replaced the On-Premises API, which required a business to host and maintain the messaging infrastructure itself.

For a business choosing a platform, this mostly matters as a question to ask: a provider still running you on On-Premises is a provider on an end-of-life path.
