WhatsApp chatbot template: salon and spa booking
Different from a generic booking flow in one way that matters: the service decides how long the slot is, and a flow that ignores that will book a two-hour treatment into a thirty-minute gap.
The goal
Book the right service with the right person for the right length of time.
The flow, node by node
- List menu
Service menu with durations
Show the duration next to each service. It sets expectations and it is what the availability check needs.
- Buttons
Any preferred stylist?
Anyone / a specific person. Regulars have a preference and will go elsewhere rather than accept a stranger.
Would you like anyone in particular, or is the first available fine?
आप किसी खास व्यक्ति से करवाना चाहेंगे, या जो पहले उपलब्ध हो वह ठीक है?
- HTTP request
Check availability for that duration
Not for a fixed slot length. This is the step generic booking flows get wrong.
- Buttons
Offer real slots
Three, with the stylist named if they chose one.
- Set attribute
Record service, stylist and duration
Also builds a preference history, which makes the next booking one tap.
- Send template
Confirm with prep instructions
Utility. Anything they need to do or avoid beforehand goes here, not in a follow-up.
- Wait
Wait until the day before
Then the reminder, with confirm and reschedule buttons.
- Send template
Send the reminder
The single highest-return message in this whole flow, because a no-show is an empty chair you cannot resell.
- Hand off to a human
Group bookings and packages → a person
Bridal parties and multi-service packages are conversations, not flows.
Where this usually goes wrong
- One slot length for every service. It is the mistake that produces a double-booked stylist.
- Ignoring stylist preference. Regulars are the margin, and they will not take pot luck.
